We are planning three interactive days (starting at 8AM on the 23rd and concluding at 2PM on the 25th) of great content and networking for capacity builders. With a dynamic mix of speakers and workshops, the conference offers meaningful dialogue and practical application for researchers, consultants, grantmakers, nonprofit leaders and students.
Keynote speakers will include Rev. Starsky Wilson from Deaconness Foundation talking about his involvement with the Ferguson Commission and Maggie Potapchuk and Brigette Rouson and will address white supremacy and efforts needed to dismantle it. Elizabeth Castilo of Arizona State University will address nonprofit governance and diversity, equity and inclusion. Workshop topics include innovative capacity building designs and approaches and interactive skill building sessions. The full program will be released before the end of the early bird deadline (July 31st) with details on plans for our affinity groups as well as the 18+ sessions to be held over the three days.
Attending the Alliance Conference is more than workshops, speakers, and festive social gatherings, it is the opportunity to build relationships with committed, passionate colleagues who will introduce you to new ideas and approaches, support you in addressing the challenges you are facing in our own work, and partner with you to explore how your work can evolve. It is an annual touchpoint to build and strengthen connections among practitioners that is not to be missed.
