New (and Painefree) association management team

The Board of Directors has hired Painefree Coaching and Consulting to provide association management services for the Alliance in 2018. This follows a banner year where Marissa Paine, principal of Painefree, served as interim Executive Director.
As Anne Yurasek, Board Chair shared, “After working closely with Marissa Paine in the role of Interim Executive Director throughout 2017, we believe having access to the full Painefree team will ensure strong support for our committees, Affinity and Interest Groups, and for all of of our members.”
The Alliance’s management team now consists of Marissa Q. Paine, who will serve as the Managing Director; Elaine Powers, who is the Membership Engagement Director; and Lakecia Veal, Administrative Coordinator. Melissa Harris of Forthwrite Strategies will also continue working closely with Painefree on communications and marketing.
"As we chanted during the 2017 annual conference, 'I AM the Alliance,'" Marissa says. "I have truly enjoyed engaging with and supporting the Alliance in so many different ways over the years and am thrilled to continue that support in a way that meets our staffing needs in a more sustainable way.''
