At this introductory session, we want to hear your ideas for the group and determine what type of programming will be most beneficial to the group throughout the year.

The Alliance for Nonprofit Management has placed a high priority on exploring issues of racial equity in nonprofit practice and on providing practical tools and training to help capacity building professionals view their work with a racial equity lens.

This newly-formed interest group will provide opportunities for on-going dialogue, problem solving, peer support, and professional learning related to social justice and racial equity. At our kick-off meeting on March 14, Alliance members and non-members alike will have a chance to share their visions and ideas for the group to ensure that programming meets your needs and expectations. We anticipate offering "formal" programming or meetings quarterly and hope to include a case study approach. This will also be an active forum to help you stay connected to other work the Alliance is doing in the area of racial equity, including upcoming Train the Trainer events, regional forums and potentially even some customized trainings! 

Led by Alliance Board members Curdina Hill and Jeffrey Branch, along with Alliance member Nancie Zane, this group will help to equip Alliance members to be thought leaders in this important and evolving work.
